Cross progression is finally coming to Apex Legends in Season 19! Here is what we know about it so far.
Since the addition of Cross Play in Apex Legends in October 2020, it seemed like the next step would have been to introduce Cross Progression as soon as possible.
Respawn have been telling fans that Cross Progression will be coming to Apex Legends season after season, but after a long wait, it is finally here! Cross Progression will launch with the new season of Apex, Ignite (Season 19).
Cross Progression in Apex Legends
Here is the official announcement by EA for Cross Progression coming to Apex Legends:
With the launch of Apex Legends: Ignite we are excited to be bringing Cross Progression to Apex Legends™. Cross Progression will be rolling out across existing platforms, and players will be phased in over a period of time in order to ensure stability for this anticipated feature.
Keep an eye out for an in-game prompt to initiate the migration to bring together your content and progression. Cross Progression data will be associated with your EA account. Due to the nature of merging accounts across platforms, various aspects of Apex Legends (Apex Coins, Crafting Materials, etc.) will be impacted differently—see tables below. Anyone that does not log in during the migration period will have their account migrated automatically at a later date.
Note: to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 20th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged.

FAQ on Cross Progression in Apex
GENERAL
Can I opt out?
No—Cross Progression is mandatory for all Apex Legends players.
I play Apex Legends on multiple platforms. What will happen to my progress on these platforms once Cross Progression goes live?
During the Cross Progression update process, we will identify what is referred to as your primary platform. This is determined by the highest level reached across all of your platforms. Content and Apex Coin balances will be associated with this singular account going forward, only the stats (i.e. progress) of this primary platform will be retained. The stats/progress of the other platforms will no longer be accessible.
For players who have multiple platforms with the same highest level: your primary platform will be the one with the highest level that you last logged in on.
CONTENT & CURRENCY
How are Apex Coins being treated on each platform?
All Apex Coins acquired on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation will be merged into one wallet and these can be spent on any of the aforementioned platforms. Apex Coins on Nintendo Switch will always remain separate as they can only be spent on that platform. However, new non-exclusive content purchased on the Nintendo Switch is shared with all platforms—and vice versa.
The Apex Coins balance shown will depend on which platform the player is currently accessing. When on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation, players will only see their merged Apex Coins balance; the Nintendo Switch Apex Coins balance is not available. When playing on Nintendo Switch, players will only see their Nintendo Switch Apex Coins balance; the merged wallet balance is not available.
How do my cosmetics work across platforms after cross progression?
Except for some notable exceptions, all content (including unlocked Legends and cosmetics) is available on all platforms regardless of the platform they were originally unlocked on. Exceptions include PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold exclusive content, as well as the exclusive Nintendo Nintendo Switch Pathfinder skin available to all Nintendo Switch users when Apex Legends launched on that platform. Exclusive platform content of this nature will remain locked to the platform in question.
There is also a small subset of content that is tied to stats, such as Achievement Badges from Apex Legend’s earlier seasons. As we are not merging stats from non-primary accounts, access to these badges through the primary account may be unavailable.
I have duplicate content on multiple profiles. Will I be refunded for this?
Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for content acquired multiple times. The content will not appear twice in your inventory.
