Here is everything we know about the live event that is taking place today, for Season 10 in Fortnite Battle Royale. This does not include any major spoilers or leaks.
The event has concluded, link at the bottom of the post for the latest info on season 11!
Epic Games are known for the in-game live events they hold in Fortnite Battle Royale and the event for Season 10 is taking place on today, Sunday 13th October. This is also the start of the next season, which is very different from other events as they have all taken place a couple of weeks before the season ends.
This article will go through the build up, time of the event and more but does not contain any major spoilers or leaks.
Build Up to the Event
We can usually see changes around the map to lead up to the event and we have seen changes being made at Dusty Depot. There was a screen that had changed in the grey building of the POI which showed that the B.R.U.T.E’s had a virus and they were then exploding upon impact in matches.
We have also seen the Scientist make the Rocket at Dusty, and a siren is now being heard in-game, which appears to be sounding every minute. In the Out of Time Challenges (formerly known as Overtime Challenges) there were three different challenges which require players to collect Visitor recordings.
When you interact with the tapes, you will instantly hear the recording and you can unlock a new style variant for the Scientist Skin when you have collected all of the tapes and interacted with the Visitors console at Dusty. You can click here for a more detailed explanation of how to unlock the white variant.
The recordings mention the Seven, but it does not state who the Seven are or what they are trying to achieve exactly, but this will likely be explained in the in-game event. The last recording is quite interesting as it does state that it will be the end if they are successful.
Event Timezones
Here’s most of the major timezones for the season 10 event (zoom in if viewing on mobile):
Time of the Event
There is an in-game countdown timer which is showing on all of the TVs in Fortnite and also a countdown showing at Dusty Depot by the Rocket leading up to the event. The event will take place on Sunday 13th October, 2PM ET/7PM BST.
We have a countdown timer showing below, so you know when the event will take place without having to go in-game:
The End LTM
There will only be one mode that will be playable, which will be called The End. Data-miners have said that there will be a ten minute warning and a one minute warning for the event and players will not be able to shoot at each other two minutes before the event is scheduled to start.
Make sure you load the game well in advance and queue up for a match a few minutes before the event is supposed to start to avoid disappointment!
