Some big news has been announced about Wordle, as it has now been acquired by the New York Times! The New York Times host many puzzles on their website, which includes the Crossword, Sudoku, the Spelling Bee and more. At the moment, there will be no changes made to the website and it is still free to play, but we will have to wait and see if the Times add it to their subscription package some time in the future.
Wordle has grown substantially since it’s release and if things are still to stay the same, there’s no reason why players from all around the world would stop playing it. The concept is simple, find the five letter word of the day with only six guesses, but be careful as these guesses will be the only clues you have to solve the word, unless you need help in which case we’ve got you covered!

What is the Wordle 228 Answer Today? (February 2nd, 2022)
I solved the Wordle in only three tries today and as you can see, I started with the word ‘TEASE’. From this word, I had correctly guessed the position of the S and knew there was a T in the word as well. If the word didn’t start with a T then chances are the T would be at the end with the S so I decided to guess the word ‘HORST’ (don’t ask me how that word came to my head)!
Luckily, this showed I had guessed the positions of the O, S and T correctly with only the first and third letters left. The first letter would of course be a consonant so I looked at the remaining letters I had and landed on the M as my first choice. I then thought of the words that start with MO and end in ST and only one word came to mind..
The word today for Wordle 228 is..
MOIST!
