Crosswordle can be described as the reverse of Wordle in that the answer is given to you, but you must work backward to see if you can figure out what words you could have used to complete the puzzle. There is a grid that is given to you and you need to fill in the words, making sure you keep the colour of the tiles in mind when you are inputting your words.
The colour of the tiles lets you know which letters can be placed in them, where the green tiles will be the letter in the answer in the same position. Yellow can be any letter in the answer as long as it is not in the same position as the answer. Grey must be a letter that does not appear in the answer, and you must ensure that these letters do not appear in the row above or below either.
This game is more difficult than it appears, but don’t worry, as we’ll be back every day with the answers so you can see what words we used to help you complete your puzzle. Because of the nature of the puzzle, there are multiple words that could have been used, and we will show one more solution every day.

The word you are given at the end of the grid for Crosswordle 77 is ‘APHID’. The row above this one has one green tile, which has to be an I and there are two yellow tiles before it. The letters in the yellow tiles can be any of the letters in the answer apart form the I and the letters directly under them.
There are two yellow tiles in the second row, which again cannot be any letters that are under them or in the answer. There is only one yellow tile in the top row, which cannot be a H or the yellow letter you have placed in the third row.
