Crosswordle is similar to Wordle in that you are given the answer, but you must work backward to see if you can figure out what words you could have used to complete the puzzle. You are given a grid and must fill it in with words while keeping the colour of the tiles in mind.
The colour of the tiles indicates which letters can be placed in them, with green tiles representing the letter in the answer in the same position. Yellow can be any letter in the solution as long as it is not in the same position as the solution. Grey must be a letter that does not appear in the answer at all, and these letters must not appear in the row above or below as well.
This game is harder than it appears, but don’t worry as we’ll be back every day with the answers so you can see what words we used to help you complete your puzzle. Because of the nature of the puzzle game, multiple words could have been used, and we will reveal another solution every day.
What is the Crosswordle 81 Answer Today? (April 10, 2022)
The word at the bottom of the Crosswordle 81 is ‘GUARD’ and again there are five words you need to fill in for the grid today as it is the weekend. The row above the word given to you has three green tiles, which will need to be A, R, and D as these are the letters directly underneath.
There is one green letter in the row above, which has to be an A and there are two yellow squares in the row as well. The first yellow tile has to be the R as it cannot be in the fourth place as that is where the R is located in the answer. This means that the other yellow tile has to have a D in it.
The third row has two yellow tiles and the tile in the third position cannot be an A as it is in the same position as the answer. The A can be in the second position if you choose and the R and D can go in any space. The top two rows all have grey squares, which means you cannot use any letters from the bottom two rows.
