Word Hurdle is the new name for the game that was previously known as Wordle 2. In this game, players must guess the six-letter word in six or fewer guesses. The rules are similar to Wordle in that players are not given any initial clues as to what the word is and all guesses must be words in the American English language.
When you make a guess, the colours of the tiles will change, indicating whether the letters you guessed are in the answer and whether you correctly placed them in the word. This game’s colours are grey, yellow, and blue, which have most likely been changed to distinguish itself more between Wordle and Word Hurdle.

In contrast to Wordle though, there are two words released daily in Word Hurdle, one at midnight and the other at midday. Both answers are covered in the same article, so scroll slowly to avoid seeing any spoilers for the afternoon word!

What is the Word Hurdle #173 (Morning) Answer Today? (April 15th, 2022)
Here is how I managed to solve the answer to Word Hurdle 173 today. I guessed the word ‘AUDIOS’ first (as per usual), which showed me there is an A in the word as well as placing the I in the correct position.
I then guessed the word ‘TRAINS’ as this would place the A in a different position and uses some letters I have not previously used, but I know it cannot be the answer as I have used an S but I already know this letter is not in the word today. This was a good guess though as it placed the N in the correct place as well as showing me there is a T and R in the word.
‘SPRINT’ was the next word I used to see if I could place the R and T and see if there is a P in the word. This guess did not place any letters or reveal any new ones. Looing at the words guessed, I knew the word has to start with an R, which would mean the third letter is a T. This helped me to solve the answer to Word Hurdle 173, which is…
RATING!

Hint 1: Contains the letter P.
Hint 2: It starts with the letter R.

What is the Word Hurdle #174 (Afternoon) Answer Today? (April 15th, 2022)
Here is how I managed to solve the answer to Word Hurdle 174 in two guesses today. First, I guessed the word ‘AUDIOS’, which showed me there is an O and U in the answer. My first thought when these two vowels have not been placed in the correct position is that they must appear together in the word.
I guessed the word ‘PLOUGH’ based on this theory, which turned out to be a great guess as it placed the O, U, G and H in the correct positions, leaving just the first two letters to be guessed. I then guessed the word ‘CHOUGH’ but this did not reveal any other letters.
I decided to guess a word that had different letters in it to see if it would help me to figure out the word, and so I went with the word ‘SKEWER’. This word showed me there is an E in the word. I hadn’t thought of the possibility of there being an E in the word before, but this helped me to solve the answer to Word Hurdle 174, which is…
