Crosswordle is similar to Wordle in that you are given the answer, but you must work backward to see if you can figure out what words you could have used to complete the puzzle. You are given a grid and must fill it in with words while keeping the colour of the tiles in mind.
The colour of the tiles indicates which letters can be placed in them, with green tiles representing the letter in the answer in the same position. Yellow can be any letter in the solution as long as it is not in the same position as the solution. Grey must be a letter that does not appear in the answer at all, and these letters must not appear in the row above or below as well.
This game is harder than it appears, but don’t worry as we’ll be back every day with the answers so you can see what words we used to help you complete your puzzle. Because of the nature of the puzzle game, multiple words could have been used, and we will reveal another solution every day.
What is the Crosswordle 106 Answer Today? (May 5, 2022)
The Crosswordle 106 puzzle today requires you to fill in three words instead of having to fill in five words, which are reserved for the puzzles released on the weekends. The word we are given at the bottom of the grid today is ‘SPENT’ and there are two green tiles in the row above. The letters in these tiles have to be S and N as these are the letters directly underneath.
There is also a yellow tile at the end of the same row, which could technically be either the P or E but there are no five-letter words that start with an S and ends in ‘NP’, so it has to an E in this tile.
There are two yellow tiles in the second row, which have to letters from the coloured-tiles in the row below. You also need to make sure the letter has not been repeated in the column either.
There is only one yellow tile in the middle of the word, which cannot be an E. Here are the words that I used to complete the Crosswordle 106 puzzle today:
