Here is the answer for the Crosswordle 96 words for today, released on April 25, 2022.
UPDATE: Click here for the answer to Crosswordle 97!
Crosswordle is similar to Wordle in that you are given the answer, but you must work backward to see if you can figure out what words you could have used to complete the puzzle. You are given a grid and must fill it in with words while keeping the colour of the tiles in mind.
The colour of the tiles indicates which letters can be placed in them, with green tiles representing the letter in the answer in the same position. Yellow can be any letter in the solution as long as it is not in the same position as the solution. Grey must be a letter that does not appear in the answer at all, and these letters must not appear in the row above or below as well.

This game is harder than it appears, but don’t worry as we’ll be back every day with the answers so you can see what words we used to help you complete your puzzle. Because of the nature of the puzzle game, multiple words could have been used, and we will reveal another solution every day.
What is the Crosswordle 96 Answer Today? (April 25, 2022)
The Crosswordle 96 puzzle today requires you to fill in three words instead of the five we had yesterday as it is now the weekday. The word we are given at the bottom of the grid is ‘DIRTY’ and the row above shows that there is one green tile, which has to be a Y. There are also two yellow tiles in the same row, which can be a D, R or T but it cannot be right above the letter from the row below.
The second row has two yellow tiles, which can be any two letters from the coloured tiles from the row below, but you need to make sure the same letter does not appear in the same column. The top row has one yellow tile at the end, which cannot be a Y.
Here are the words that I used to complete the Crosswordle 96 puzzle today:
- 1st Word – PUKER
- 2nd Word – SHIRS
- 3rd Word – IRONY

Here are some other words you could have used instead:
- 1st Word – ASSET
- 2nd Word – MOTIF
- 3rd Word – ITCHY
