Word Hurdle is the new name for the game that was previously known as Wordle 2. In this game, players must guess the six-letter word in six or fewer guesses. The rules are similar to Wordle in that players are not given any initial clues as to what the word is and all guesses must be words in the American English language.
When you make a guess, the colours of the tiles will change, indicating whether the letters you guessed are in the answer and whether you correctly placed them in the word. This game’s colours are grey, yellow, and blue, which have most likely been changed to distinguish itself more between Wordle and Word Hurdle.
In contrast to Wordle though, there are two words released daily in Word Hurdle, one at midnight and the other at midday. Both answers are covered in the same article, so scroll slowly to avoid seeing any spoilers for the afternoon word!

Here is how I managed to solve the answer to Word Hurdle 177 in four guesses today. I guessed the word ‘AUDIOS’ first (as per usual), which was a great guess for the word today as it placed the I and O in the correct positions. I then decided to guess the word ‘MEMORY’ to see if I could reveal any more letters in the word.
This guess luckily placed the M in the correct position, but unfortunately no other letters were revealed. I then guessed the word ‘PICKET’ as this uses different letters. This word showed me that there is a T in the word. Looking at the letters I know, the T would have to be the third letter, which would mean the word would likely end in an N. That would only leave the second letter, which would have to be a vowel, which meant I had the answer to Word Hurdle 177, which is…

What is the Word Hurdle #178 (Afternoon) Answer Today? (April 17th, 2022)
Here is how I managed to solve the answer to Word Hurdle 178 in five guesses today. First, I guessed the word ‘AUDIOS’, which showed me there is an A and U in the word today. I then guessed the word ‘CAUGHT’ as this places the known letters in a different position as well as using different letters.
Unfortunately, none of the letters were placed in the correct place and there were no new letters revealed. I still thought that the A and U must be together in the word, so I guessed the word ‘FLAUNT’.
This was a great guess as it placed the A in the correct position as well as showing me there is an L and N in the word. It also showed me that the A and U are not placed together, so I wanted to guess a word that has an E in it next. I guessed the word ‘NEARER’ to see if I could place the N in the correct position as well as seeing if there is an R in the word.
The guessed word showed me there is an E in the answer, but the N was not placed correctly unfortunately. As the E is not the second letter, I thought that it would be placed at the end as it is also not in the fifth letter. It is likely that the word begins with ‘UN’ and using this information, I managed to guess the answer to Word Hurdle 178, which is…
