Wordle has a very simple concept: to guess the five-letter word in six guesses or less. There are no initial clues as to what the word could be and can be any word in the American English language. This may make it sound like an impossible game, but once you have made your first guess, the tiles containing the letters will change into one of three colours.

Green lets you know that the letter is in the word and has been placed in the correct position. Yellow means that the letter is in the word somewhere, just not where you have currently placed it. If the letter does not appear in the word at all, the tile will change grey, which means you want to refrain from using this letter in subsequent guesses where possible.

There is a new word released every day at midnight in your timezone and we will be covering the hints and answers to all of these words to help you if you get stuck and you don’t want to lose your win streak! Since it has been taken over by the New York Times, there will be some words that are different from the original website (if you have managed to stay on the site) as the paper have removed some words to be more inclusive.
