Here are all of the Fortnite map changes that have taken place at the start of Season X/10.
The trailer for Season X was released a day earlier than usual, most likely due to Fortnite Brazil accidentally tweeting the trailer instead of the teaser. In the trailer, we could see Jonesy travelling through the Zero Point and there were references to many POIs (Point of Interests) in the video, but it was unclear if the POIs will stay in the game or will be removed.
It looks like the snow and desert biome have not been removed, but there are some POIs that have returned. Here are all of the map changes that have been made at the start of Season X, but please let us know if we have missed anything in the comments below.
Loot Lake
The orb/Zero Point is still at Loot Lake, but it seems to be frozen at the point of the explosion and you can see various objects frozen in the air. Players can enter the zone and be teleported back into the sky by going into the orb, which acts as a large rift. Rifts have also been added in different around the map.
Dusty Depot
Dusty Depot has returned in the same location before the meteor hit it, turning it into Dusty Divot. The buildings are in a different order to how they were originally.
The Meteor
In the Season X trailer, we could see that the meteor was frozen in the air before it hit Dusty Depot and it looks like the meteor is now stuck in this position. You can see other small rocks coming off the meteor and you can fly through the smoke behind the meteor. You can land on the meteor itself and there are some chest spawns and floor loot.
The meteor had brought the Visitor, in its capsule, to the island. If you land on the meteor, you will actually be able to see the capsule, but it is already opened, which means the Visitor is somewhere on the island and he may show up in the loading screens.
The Old Factories
This was never a named POI but was quite a popular place to land. It was removed in past updates, but has now returned and can be found southwest of Dusty Depot. There are three factories in the location.
The Monster’s Skeleton
The Monster’s skeleton survived and can be found northwest of Salty Springs. There are more trees that have been added and there is a pinky-redish color around the skeleton. This POI is not named on the map, but it is very easy to spot from its distinct color.
Hints At Old POIs Returning
So we’ve seen Dusty Depot return, but what about other POIs? There seems to be some objects from different POIs around the map which hint at their return. The patch notes did state, “Locations once thought to be lost are beginning to appear, but they aren’t the same as they once were…” which means old POIs will return, but different to how we remember them to be.
The first reference can be seen at Polar Peak where we can see a toilet on top of one of the castles. There is also a mini toilet in front and pipes on the side, which related to Flush Factory.
The Risky Reels theatre sign and screen has also been spotted, east of Sunny Steps.
Moisty Mires could also be returning as the sign for Paradise Palms is very different, as can be seen below:
Another building has been spotted southwest of Paradise Palms which looks to have a tree, similar to the ones that were found in Moisty Mires, coming out of it.
Another old POI has been referenced at Lazy Lagoon, where you can see a shack has a sign on top, which is the sign that could be found at Lazy Links. Inside the shack you will also see golfing gear, which of course also relates to Lazy Links, so we could also see this POI added in the upcoming weeks.

Miscellaneous Changes
The structure north of Fatal Fields has built built further. There is a lot of wood you can harvest from coming to this structure and there is another chest spawn that has been added to the top of the building. Will this become Fortnite’s tallest structure?
The ever changing structure found at the small town east of Polar Peak has not reverted back to being a chair. This was changed to what looked to be a metal spaceship in the last season.
A new gnome shed has also appeared on the mountain west of Pleasant Park and you can see four gnomes on the top.
Once you enter the shed, you will see a giant gnome and few more smaller gnomes. There is also a chest spawn here. It is possible this shed/shack will be referenced in one of the future missions in Fortnite Battle Royale, but we will have to wait and see.
The car statue east of Mega Mall has also been updated and the colors on them have been changed to resemble the Mecha Robot. In the Final Showdown Live Event, the Robot lost its arm to the Monster, and you can see that the car statue only has one arm.

The town southwest of Paradise Palms and east of Lucky Landing, is quite a popular spot to land. One of these houses has been updated and is filled with TVs. Breaking these TVs will give you wood.

A Stone Head has also been added at Lazy Lagoon and these were added at the start of season 5.
UPDATED: When first looking around the map, we could not find the Stone Family, but looking again, we found the Stone Dog! As more old POIs make a return to the map, we could see more of the Stone Family added back as well and as always, we will keep you updated with the new map changes as they occur.
