Upgrade Benches are back in Fortnite season 7 and here is where you can find them to complete the week 1 challenge.
There are many changes that have been made to Fortnite in Chapter 2, Season 7 with a lot of new things added and there are also many items that have returned, one of which being the Upgrade Benches. You can find them in different areas around the map and we will show you where they are located below.
One of the Epic Challenges for Week 1 of this season is to upgrade weapons at the Upgrade Bench. We will let you know where you find them and what you will need in order to complete this challenge. You will also need to upgrade three weapons to complete the challenge.
Fortnite Upgrade Benches Season 7 Locations
When the Upgrade Benches were first introduced to Fortnite, players would be able to upgrade their weapons by making sure they have enough materials for the upgrade. With the return of the Upgrade Benches, there has been a change in how they work as you can no longer upgrade your weapons with materials, but you will need gold bars instead. Here is a map showing you where you can find the Upgrade Benches:
As previously mentioned, you will need gold bars in order to upgrade your weapon at the bench, so make sure you have plenty before trying. The easiest way to complete the challenge is to upgrade a common weapon into uncommon as it takes 200 gold bars in order to upgrade it and the higher the rarity, the more gold you will need to spend.
When you are at the bench, you will need to equip the weapon you want to upgrade first and then interact with it. Once you have interacted with it, you will have the option to upgrade the weapon you are holding. You will need to upgrade three weapons in order to complete this challenge and once you have completed it, you will be awarded with 30,000 XP.
