Players are stuck waiting in a queue for 10 minutes or 1 hour when trying to log in to Fortnite on March 20th, 2022 as well as receiving the “you do not have permission to play Fortnite” error message.
Fortnite chapter 3 season 2 is finally here, kind of. The servers were back online for a short period of time, but due to the sheer amount of players trying to log in to experience what the new season has to offer, the servers were struggling.
We saw this with the launch of chapter 3 season 1 too. With the release being on a Sunday, the amount of players that are available to play is far higher than a weekday update.
With Epic Games removing building from the game, it’s likely to have increased the number of players wanting to play the new season, especially the players that left once building and editing to a high standard became the new norm.

If you managed to actually launch the game without getting the game currently unavailable error, players were letting waiting in a queue for 10 minutes or 1 hour. However, even after the 10 minutes or hour had passed, you’d still be stuck waiting in the queue. Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do to fix this error.
You Do Not Have Permission to Play Fortnite Error Message
Some players think they’ve been banned if they get the “you do not have permission to play Fortnite” error message. However, this isn’t the case and it’s a very common error message that occurs when there are issues with the server.
We’ve seen some sites recommend restarting your game, deleting it and reinstalling it, or restarting your router. None of these steps will fix the you do not have permission to play Fortnite error as it’s a server-side issue. You’ll have to wait until the servers are back up and not struggling from the amount of players looking to log in at the same time.
