Here is how to complete the new questline in Palia, called Answering the Call, which unlocks the Elderwoods.
Singularity 6 has just launched a massive update for Palia, which includes a brand new map, the Elderwoods.
This location has been teased for a long time by the company and it has finally been released, along with the continuation of the Palia main storyline.
The name of this quest is Answering the Call and here is a guide on how to complete it.
Answering the Call Palia Quest
Once you log into Palia, if you can completed the storyline thus far, you will immediately see a cutscene.
The text you will see is:
“A few weeks later, somewhere in Kilima…”
You will then see some purple essence floating around and then you will be brought back to your plot.
Here, you will see Einar is waiting to be spoken to. He will tell you of some large “Flowrescent” beams that were seen in the sky the night before.
He also tells you the Gardener has told him to tell you of the following information:
“The Cosmos Protocol Lockdown has been forcibly deactivated.”
Once you have finished talking to Einar, you will then need to meet with Subira in the Night Sky Temple and you can also choose to ask the Gardener for more details, but it is not necessary to complete this step to continue with the quest.
The quest marker actually guides you to the Ancient Ruins in Bahari, where the Gardener is.
To get to the Gardener, you need to go to through the gate, and knock out the all on the right with your pickaxe.
You will then need to take the Flowstone Gate ot the Hub, then choose the Flowstone Gate to the Gardener.
Once you have spoken to the Gardener, you then want to go to the Night Sky Temple, which can be found in C5 of Kilima.
It should be easy to spot as the map shows the quest marker in the exact location of the temple.
Once you enter the Sky Night Temple, you can talk to Subria, which will prompt a conversation with Jina as well.
A new area has opened on the right, at the end of the hall is Subira, who will tell you to find another way to get to the other side.
First, you want to just turn around and go to the left. You will be standing in front of a bookcase, but there will be a breakable wall to the left of you.
On the bench, you will see Record #1 – From the Deck of Aurus. The clue from this record is Q.
If you go back out of the small you room you just entered to get back to the hallway, go to the other side where you will see a more noticeable wall to break on your right.
Go down slightly and look to the left where you will see Record #2 – On the Nature of Csmoflow (lecture Transcript).
The last page will give you the clue S.
Continue down this area and you will see another breakable wall on your left.
Go to the end of the room where you will find Record #3 – Cosmoflow Applications, lying on the floor in front of the pipe.
The clue from last page is 7.
Go back out and climb the ladder on the wall to your left.
You need to jump the hole in front of you and you will see Record #4 – Ministry Visit on the floor in between the bookshelf and another hole in the floor.
The clue from the last page of this record is ?.
Now jump over the gap to the other side, go down the hallway and make a right.
You will see a breakable floor in front of you. Simply break the floor with your pickaxe again to go through.
Drop down, walk down the stairs and hit the wall on your left. You will see Record #5 – Mirror Protocol on the ledge in front of you.
The clue on the last page of this record is V.
If you go back, there are three breakable walls on your left.
The first wall has nothing behind it. The second door on your left has a chest in it.
This is not related to the quest but will give you 3 x Gold Ore, 5 x Stone Bricks and an Ancient Treasure Chest.
The last breakable wall on the left has Record #6 – Cosmos Protocol in it. The last page gives you the clue, %.
If you leave this room and go the wall on the far left, you will find the final record.
Record #7 – Goodbye, For Now, is on the ledge in the left corner and clue from the last page is J.
If you head back out into the hallway, you can see there is a breakable wall on your left, opposite the one you broke for Record #6.
In this room you will need to break the floor again and jump down. There is a chest behind the ladder, which is not related to this quest.
You want to now follow this room around where you will find a ladder on your left. Climb up and to your left.
Follow the ledge and break the last wall.
You then need to speak with Subira and head up the stairs and interact with the console.
It will prompt you to enter the password, which was given to you in each record.
You will need to hit Login and enter the following as the password:
Q, s, 7, ?, v, %, J
Once completed, you will have to then find two clues in the console logs.
For one clue, follow these steps in the console:
- Select Menu
- Select User Logs
- Click through all these logs (there are a few logs to go through)
For the last clue, follow these steps in the console:
- Select Menu
- Select Protocols
- Click on Mirror Protocol
- Then Click Tap Status
You can now exit the console and talk to Subira. This will complete the Answering the Call quest and start the next one, which is The Elderwood.
