Quordle is the most popular word game outside of Wordle. According to the information on the site, there are two million daily players and fifteen million players in total since the game was released at the end of January.
The success of the game is mainly due to people seeing it as a tougher challenge to Wordle. There’s also the fact that it offers a practice mode that allows players to play as many world puzzles as they won’t, though none of them will count towards your win streak.
The aim of the game is simple, guess four five-letter words in nine tries or less. Everything else works the same as Wordle with the tiles changing colour depending on whether the letters in the word you submitted as a guess feature in any four of the daily words.
