Within a few weeks of Wordle going viral, developers were quick to release their own games with a unique twist on the popular daily word game.
One of the first games that followed Wordle was Dordle. However, it didn’t manage to take off as well as some of the other games that followed, namely Quordle.
Quordle was released at the end of January with only a few daily players. However, The Guardian wrote an article on the game and it took off from there. The game went from 500,000 daily players to 2 million with a total player count of over 15 million.
The game tasks players with guessing four five-letter words in nine attempts or less. There’s a daily mode that counts towards your win streak and a practice mode. The practice mode allows users to play as many word puzzles as they want, but they won’t count towards their streak.
