Tricky Doors Walkthrough Level 8 – Theatre
Here is our Tricky Doors Walkthrough Level 8 Guide:
To get access to the eighth episode or level, you will need to complete the first seven, which we have done full detailed guides for, which you can see by clicking here. Tricky Doors have names for the different levels and the eighth one is called Theater. Once you have clicked to play this level, you will see the following information:
“Nobody will ring a third bell today. Enjoy the luxury of this theater alone. What is hiding behind the scenes? Explore balconies, the orchestra pit, dressing rooms and the cloakroom to find a way to leave the theater. Even if you are fascinated by the atmosphere reigning in it, you should not linger here.“
Once you click on ‘play’ you will be transported to the first room of the theater, which is the foyer. There are a few objects you can collect straight away, which are:
- Porcelain masks – On the left, you can click on the counter behind the ropes. You can find the mask on the counter.
- Handle – In the same area, you can click on the teal jacket in the front to make it bigger and here you will find the handle in the pocket.
- Tag and plank – These can both be found on the green couch on the left. The tag is on top of the sofa, whilst the plank is under.
We have highlighted where you can find these items in the image below to help you:

You will now need to use the handle you just got to put on the window on the right. You then need to click on the handle twice to open the window, revealing the key on the ledge.
This key can now be used on the grandfather clock on the left and you can add the second and last porcelain mask to your inventory. These masks can now be added to the doors, where a mini-game will be playable.
The aim of the game is to move the green chip to the green cells, which are located at the top of the puzzle. There are a lot of moves you need to do in order to get the green piece to the top, so here is the solved solution so you can try and move the pieces around to the same places.
You will also need to move the green chip around as well, which we were moving to the right where possible.

Once you have completed the puzzle, the doors will open, leading to the second scene, which is the hall. There are a few items you can get from here, which are:
- Tag – On top of the piano.
- Piano Key – On top of the harp on the right side.
- Knife – Can be found on the stage on the left side, by the ladder.
- Sandbag – Located near the ladder on the stage on the left.
Here is an image of where you can locate the items if you are struggling to find them:
Once you have these items, you can proceed to the room in the back and you can get a saw, hammer and pincers from the toolbox found in the back, right of the stairs.
You can then click on the door on the left which has planks nailed on it and the pincers will remove the nails and a long plank and add these items to your inventory.

If you go back to the previous room, you can click on the harp to get a closer look and use the pincers on the strings to add it to your inventory.
The next thing to do is to go back to the first scene in the foyer and you will need to click on the coats on the left side. The hanger next to the teal jacket is crooked and you can use the knife you have on it to get a hook in your inventory.
The knife can be used on the rope in front of the sofa on the left and this can now be joined to the hook to make a rope with hook.
If you go back to the second room, you will be able to use rope with hook on the balcony to get up. You can use the pincers on the purse to break it open where you will be able to get a piano key and powder.
You can also get broken binoculars from the chair and a plank leaning up against the wall on the right. There is a paper on the chair which says,
“The password for the safe is on the scenery.”

When you get out of the balcony, you can click on the ladder on the stage on the left. The long plank can be placed on top and you can use the saw on it to get the last two planks, making four in total. You can use these planks on the ladder to make the steps and you can add the nails to the steps and use the hammer to create the ladder and you can click on it to add it to your inventory.
The ladder can now be placed under the light on the stage and you will need to click on the light to get a closer look. There is a key behind the glass, which you can obtain by breaking the glass with the hammer.
You will now need to go into the hallway where the key can be used on the door at the end with the masks on. This will unlock a mini-game where the aim of the game is to clear the path so the first can hit the button.
You will need to clear a path for all four buttons on the right to be pushed and once completed, this will open the door to the dressing room. You can collect some tweezers and brush on top of the dressing table and a tag on the chair.
There is a purple/pink dress on the left which you will need to click to lift up, revealing a sandbag at the bottom. There is now only one more sandbag to collect.
If you go back to the beginning and click on the window on the right to enlarge it, you can use the tweezers to remove a tag from the bottom. Now you should have all four tags and you can go back to where the coats are on the left.
The tags can be placed on the counter, and you can use powder and the brush from your inventory to reveal four numbers.
Tricky Doors Walkthrough Level 8 Continued…
The numbers shown are 36, 35, 34 and 38. Looking at the colours of the hanging jackets at the corresponding numbers, the colours are:
- 36 – Red
- 35 – Green
- 34 – Purple
- 38 – Blue
This order may be different for you, but for the colour combination in the dressing room, you need to input the colours for the numbers in ascending order. For our puzzle, the combination is: Purple, Green, Red and Blue.
You also need to make sure you click on the bar and the top bar will turn green, letting you know you have put in the correct combination. You then need to click off of the lock, which will open the drawer.
From here, you can collect a weight the last piano key. You can now use these piano keys on the piano in the theater, which will unlock a mini-game. The aim of the game is to highlight in green the required combination of squares on the lid by pressing the keys.
Unfortunately, the squares are different so we cannot give you a step-by-step guide on how to complete it but once you have completed the game, it will reveal a key.
The key can be used on the blue wardrobe in the dressing room. Once you have opened the door, you will see a jacket. Click on the jacket to open it and you can then click on the lenses. There is still one more to collect.
Tricky Doors Walkthrough Level 8 Continued…
You can also collect a sandbag from the bottom left of the wardrobe once you are out of the close up of the jacket. This should be the final one needed.
If you go back to the first room, there is a camera in front of one of the portraits. If you click on it to enlarge it, you can use the knife in your inventory on the lense to collect it. You can now add these to the binoculars.
From your inventory, you can add the string to the weight and use the pincers to create a clock weight. Now you can click on the grandfather clock on the left side and add the clock weight to it.
This will unlock a clock mini-game where the aim of the game is to open the acquired windows. If you noticed in the dressing room, there were some lights on around the mirror and some were off. This is the answer to the puzzle where you need to open the doors where the lights are on. Here is what it looks like completed:
You will then be given a hint, which is to help you with the chest puzzle in the dressing room. The aim of the mini-game is to place the chips according to the hint by swapping them using the arrow buttons.
Once completed, the chest will open and you can get a metal mask and a wheel. This wheel can be used on the briefcase, found by the coats in the first scene.
The code to the briefcase if 930, which is on one of the portraits above the cloakroom which doesn’t have a completed date on it.
Tricky Doors Walkthrough Level 8 Continued…
Once the briefcase has been opened, you will be able to retrieve a lever.
In the hallway leading up to the dressing room, there is a spot on the right where you can add the sandbags from your inventory to the strings. The lever can also be used on the side to move the bags up and down.
When you go to the theatre, you will see the background can now be seen and you can use the binoculars to look closely. There are four digit codes hidden in each scene. The scene is changed once you change the lever of the sandbags. The correct code should be when the first sandbag is up, which is 4537. This can be seen carved on the rock on the left side.
This code can now be used on the safe in the dressing room, located on the left side of the table. Make sure you click on the green button after inputting the code to open the safe. This will give you the last metal mask needed.
The masks can be added to the doors on the right side in the first scene. This will unlock a mini-game where you need to arrange the masks so that emotions and colours are not repeated in each row and column.
Here is the exact solution to the puzzle. We have the emotions/expressions as sad, happy, shocked and angry and the materials are wood, silver, stone and gold:
- Row 1 – happy (wood), shocked (silver), sad (stone), angry (gold)
- Row 2 – shocked (gold), happy (stone), angry (silver), sad (wood)
- Row 3 – sad (silver), angry (wood), happy (gold), shocked (stone)
- Row 4 – angry (stone), sad (gold), shocked (wood), happy (silver)
Here is what it should look like:
