Here’s what the Call of Duty Armageddon and Free Kills Vanguard playlists / game modes are.
Sledgehammer and Raven Software have pulled out all of the stops for the Call of Duty 2021 Christmas event. This years event is called Festive Fervor which includes challenges and rewards and some maps featuring Christmas decorations.
Krampus is also running around as part of Festive Fervor and players need to deal damage and eliminate him as part of the Christmas challenges. However, players are struggling due to the sheer amount of heath the Christmas beast has.
Others are having difficulty finding him the first place, so we created a guide to give you some tips on how to find him quicker. In Vanguard, we recommend getting into Shipmas 24/7 and not playing the objective.
Shipmas 24/7 is one of the changes that came with the playlist update for Festive Fervor. It’s different game modes on the Christmas-themed Shipment map. Along with Shipmas, both Armageddon and Free Kills were added to Vanguard. Here’s what they are.
What is Armageddon in Call of Duty Vanguard?
Armageddon in Vanguard is the Drop Zone game mode that was in previous Call of Duty titles. Vanguard Armageddon is a twist on Team Deathmatch but with Care Packages dropping down.
At the start of each match, the two teams will need to fight for control of the marked area similar to hard point and you’ll find care packages raining down on a set timer until a certain number of them have been collected by either team.
This is slightly different to Drop Zone in the fact that points are only scored with kills and bonus points for kills that have been earned with killstreaks.
What is Free Kills Playlist in Vanguard?
Free Kills is a new Vanguard playlist that was brought in for the Festive Fervor Christmas event in Call of Duty. It’s a mix of several game modes including Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint.
It includes all the combat paces on Das Haus, Radar, Hotel Royal, Eagle’s Next, Numa Numa, and Shipment. I’m not quite sure why it’s called Free Kills and so far it seems like an unpopular playlist in comparison to what’s available.
