Grey indicates that the letter you guessed is not in the word at all, so you should avoid using it in future guesses.

What is the Wordle 1297 Answer Today? (January 6th, 2025)
Here is how I managed to solve Wordle 1297 in four guesses today. I guessed the word ‘AUDIO’ first, which is my usual starter word.
This word placed the I correctly, but no other letters were revealed to be in the answer today.
I then wanted to guess a word that has an E in it, so I guessed the word ‘REMIX’ next.
It showed me that there is an R in the answer, but it is not the first letter.
‘STRIP’ was the next word that came to mind as it puts the R in a different position and uses different letters than the ones already guessed.
This was a great word to guess as it placed the S and R correctly and showed me that there is a P in the Wordle answer today.
P has to be the second letter, leaving the last letter to be guessed. I was then able to solve the answer to Wordle 1297 in my next guess, which is…
