Here is how I managed to solve Wordle 1557 in four guesses today. I guessed the word ‘AUDIO’ first, which is my usual starter word.
This word showed me there is a U and O in the answer, but neither of these letters have been correctly placed.
I thought the vowels would be next to each other in the answer, so I guessed the word ‘ROUSE’ next as it also has an E in it.
The O and U were correctly placed in the Wordle answer today, but no other letters were revealed with this guess.
‘VOUCH’ was the next word I guessed as I thought the word could end in ‘CH’.
The H was correctly placed as the last letter, leaving the first and fourth to be guessed.
I thought T would be the fourth letter, leaving the first letter to be guessed.
I was able to solve the answer to Wordle 1557 in my next guess, which is…
MOUTH!
