Two new Fortnite Ice Storm challenges have been unlocked. One of the challenges requires plays to destroy Ice Shards.
Two new Ice Storm challenges have been unlocked and one of the challenges is to destroy 10 Ice Shards in different matches. Ice Shards don’t spawn in the same location in every match and are the large ice rocks that spawn the Ice Fiends, Ice Legions, Ranged Ice Fiends, Ice Brutes, and Golden Ice Brutes. All of the Ice zombies are a part of the Ice Legion and one of the new challenges requires players to deal 2,000 damage to the Ice Legion.
In order to destroy Ice Shards in different matches as quickly as possible, the best way is to drop at Wailing Woods each time near the maze located in the middle. You’ll usually find an Ice Shard close by. Once you’ve located an Ice shard, simply shoot at it from a distance once you have a gun until it’s destroyed. If you still need to complete previous challenges, destroy the Ice Legion at the same time and if they drop any dynamite, be sure to throw it at the Ice Shard in order to destroy it quicker. This will also aid in dealing 2,000 damage to the Ice Legion. Ensure you have a dozen Ice Legion zombies, line them up and shoot them. Again, if you have dynamite, the best way to complete these challenges are to spawn as many as you can and throw explosives at them.
Wailing Woods typically has three or four Ice Shards in close proximity. Dealing damage to the Ice Legion in a single match, or any other Ice Storm challenge, can be completed easily by dropping at Wailing Woods, especially if it’s far from the bus route.
