There are new challenges that have been added in Fortnite Season X which reveal old POIs that will be returning.
Epic have changed quite a few things in Fortnite this season, one of which being to replace challenges with missions in Season X. There are Limited Time Missions that have replaced Daily Challenges and there are also normal Missions for players to complete, which have replaced the Weekly Challenges.
At the start of Season X, we saw that the Meteor has been ‘frozen’ and can be seen on the map. Dusty Depot has returned, as well as the popular factories, which can be found southwest of Dusty Depot. There are also many minor map changes made at the start of the season, which hint at possible old POIs (Points of Interests) returning. To see all of the map changes made click here.
In today’s v10.00 Content Update, Tilted Town was added to the map. This POI is western themed and players cannot built or harvest any materials in this location. We will be posting all of the changes made to Neo Tilted, now Tilted Town, in another article shortly.
Data-miners @HYPEX and @xkleinmikex have also managed to find new challenges that have been added to Season X, which reveal old POIs that will be returning to Fortnite. Here are all of the old POIs mentioned in the ‘Spray car or truck challenge’.
As mentioned by Epic Games in the v10.00 patch notes, old POIs will be returning, but not as we remembered them.
Moisty Mires
Moisty Mires is one of the POIs that have been mentioned in the challenge files that have been leaked, as can be seen below.
Moisty Mires used to be in the southeast part of the map, where the Paradise Palms and the desert biome is located at the moment. We have already map changes returning on the map as there is a building with a Moisty Mires looking tree coming out of it and the sign for Paradise Palms also hints at the POI returning.
Anarchy Acres
Anarchy Acres could be found north of the map, where Lazy Lagoon is situated now and according to leaks, should be returning this season.
Risky Reels
Risky Reels was replaced with The Block in Season 7 and when The Block had moved, it was thought that Risky Reels would return, but it never did. We should see this POI returning as well.
There has been a hint on the map for this location returning as the screen and drive thru sign was seen at the start of Season X, as can be seen below:
Greasy Grove
Greasy Grove was a very popular POI before it was iced over in Season 7 when the iceberg hit the island. The Fortnite Community have been anxiously awaiting its return and leaks hint at this location coming to the map soon.
Flush Factory
Flush Factory could be found south west of the map and was also removed as a result of the iceberg. This POI will be returning in Season X:
We have also seen hints of this POI returning, as a toilet has been spotted at Polar Peak:
Tomato Town
Tomato Town was replaced with Tomato Temple in Season 5, but this POI was unnamed in the Season 8 and had been reduced to just the temple itself. It now seems as though the original Tomato Town will be returning.
These POI’s have been named in the leaked ‘Spray car or truck challenge’, however HYPEX does think that this challenge is a placeholder and players will need to complete a different challenge (or mission) in these locations.
There have been other hints of possible POIs returning looking at the map changes that have been made at the start of the season, such as Lazy Links, but no reference has been made to them in the files as yet. To see all map changes that have been hinted at through map changes, click here.
