Epic Games have announced the Triggerfish Fishing Frenzy contest. During the contest, players that catch a Mythic Goldfish will get a free Bottom Dweller Pickaxe.
Epic Games have run a number of different tournaments and contests since Fortnite Battle Royale gained popularity and another tournament has recently been announced on the Epic Games website.
The contest is called Fortnite Fishing Frenzy and will begin tomorrow, 22nd November. Players have the chance to win a Bottom Dweller pickaxe, or get a real-life Llama trophy as a reward.
The contest will begin at 8am ET tomorrow and will run until Sunday, 24th November at 8pm ET. Each server region will have one winner per category that Epic have outlined. Both North America East and North America West will be combined with one winner. Here’s a look at the rewards and categories
Fortnite Fishing Frenzy Rewards
Top Angler
- Catch the most fish in a single match during the competition
- One champion per regional server
- Awarded an engraved Llama Trophy
Small Fry Champion
- Catch the most Small Fry during the competition
- One champion per regional server
- Awarded an engraved Llama Trophy
Flopper Champion
- Catch the most Floppers during the competition
- One champion per regional server
- Awarded an engraved Llama Trophy
Slurpfish Champion
- Catch the most Slurpfish during the competition
- One champion per regional server
- Awarded an engraved Llama Trophy
Mythic Goldish = Instant Prize
- Anyone that catches the Mythic Goldfish will receive a Bottom Dweller Pickaxe!
Getting Hooked on Fishing
- Anyone that participates during the competition window will get the Play to Win spray
- Use a Fishing Rod during the contest times
- Start Date: Friday, November 22 at 8am ET
- End Date: Sunday, November 24 at 8pm ET
Every player that participates will receive the Play to win spray. Anyone that catches a Mythic Goldfish will receive the Bottom Dweller pickaxe. Both these items have not been leaked by dataminers in previous updates, so we’ll only know what they look like once players begin being rewarded with them.
In order to compete in this Fortnite Fishing Frenzy contest, players simply have to pick up a fishing rod in-game and get fishing. You can only enter this contest by fishing in an actual game such as solo, duos, or squads.

Requirements
There are a number of requirements players will need to meet which include enabling Fortnite 2FA on your account, using only the fishing rod as the harpoon gun will not count, must be 13 years or older, and adhere to the community guidelines.
