We’re a week away until the end of Fortnite chapter 2 season 6. Epic added in the crafting system along with wild animals that can be tamed or their meat used to craft different items and weapons.
I think everyone can agree that we haven’t had as much new content during the season in comparison to others seasons. It seems like Epic have taken a back seat with their updates since the launch of chapter 2. In Chapter 1, we’d get a major patch update followed by a content update in every season. This season and for most seasons this chapter, we usually only get an exotic weapon added in a major update.
We did get some new challenges with the Spire and most recently, the Foreshadowing quests. However, these seem like more of an XP replacement for what players would be able to get if we had the weekly XP coins.
Anyway, hopefully Fortnite season 7 changes up or reverts back to the old challenge system and we get XP coins back. We’ve seen hints of what we can expect in Fortnite chapter 2 season 7, and here’s what we know so far including the release date.
When is Fortnite Season 7 Starting?
The new season of Fortnite, Fortnite chapter 2 season 7, has a release date scheduled for June 8th, 2021. The update will likely go live at 5 or 6 AM ET. However, Epic have played around with their update times for new seasons in the past, so we won’t know for certain until it’s announced. There likely won’t be any delays that will push Fortnite season 7 back, but we’ll keep you updated.
Season 7 Fortnite Leaks?
Before the Fortnite v16.50 went live, data-miners leaked that there would be UFO or alien related posters scattered around the map. Fortnite leaks also suggest players will be abducted by UFOs randomly in matches before the end of season 6. Based on that, we can expect Fortnite chapter 2 season 7 to be alien or space-themed.
