There have a large number of Wordle-inspired games that have been released over the past couple of months, most of which have died out within a couple of months of their release.

However, if a game has a unique spin on it, they tend to gain a fairly large player base. Poeltl is one of those games with a unique twist. Instead of guessing a daily word, players need to guess the mystery NBA player of the day.

You have eight attempts to correctly guess the player, and there are seven different columns that’ll provide you with feedback after each guess to help you figure out your next move.

The columns include team, conference, position, age, and a few others. A column in green means there’s a match, a yellow in the team column means the mystery player once played in the team but doesn’t currently, and yellow in the position column is a partial match to the mystery NBA player’s position.

If any of the other columns are yellow, it indicates the attribute is within two (inches, years, numbers) of the mystery player. If you’re still finding it difficult to guess the mystery player, there’s a silhouette mode located under the columns that you can click to activate. We’ve never used this feature, but it should definitely help if you’re struggling.
