Here is a concept that will give contrails another use in Fortnite Battle Royale.
Contrails are a cosmetic that were initially added to Fortnite Battle Royale in the Season 3 Battle Pass and they can be seen in-game when players jump from the Battle Bus. There are quite a few contrails that have been added to the game, but they are only seen for a small amount of time.
Reddit user yesta_fiesta has thought of a way in which these contrails can actually be implemented a bit more in-game. He has suggested that contrails can be used when walking, sliding down hills/mountains and can even used when launching a rocket from the Rocket Launchers. Having a contrail behind you would make it very easy to be spotted by other players and so it has been suggested in the comments that if this was implemented, only teammates should be able to see your trail when moving around. Another suggestion was being able to choose if you want the trail to be seen or not. Implementing this concept would make the contrails a more useful cosmetic to have and could help teammates.
If contrails were implemented more in the game, it could mean that more contrails would be added and we could see them make an occurrence in the Item Shop. There is only one contrail that has been seen in the Fortnite Shop, Dark Feathers, but it was not available to purchase separately and was part of the set when purchasing the Ravage skin. We could see more contrails being released as part of a set when purchasing new skins.
