Players are reporting they’re getting the ineligible for event error. Here’s one possible fix.
The Fortnite “The End” live event takes place shortly and players are trying to log in to experience the event for themselves instead of watching a live stream.
Although a lot of the player base know what the chapter 3 map looks like and the new features and Battle Pass skins, players still want to see what happens during the event.
With every major event, there are usually some issues with players not being able to log in to the servers as there are far too many players trying to log in at the same time.

However, Epic Games have recently changed the way in which they handle the servers. They usually stop playing trying to join the Fortnite live event when they’re in the lobby. One issue players are now experiencing is the ineligible for event error. Here’s a possible fix.
How to Fix the Ineligible for Event Fortnite Error
When trying to select The End playlist, players are finding they either can’t see it or click or press on it. It seems the playlist or even changing playlist has been disabled by Epic Games to prevent any server issues during the event.
Players will see a disabled button and under that, there will be an error or message saying “ineligible for event” error. Players have been flocking to Twitter and Reddit upset that they loaded the game half an hour early to find they can’t join the event.

In order to fix this, go to the menu in the top right corner, go to game mode and select Battle Royale. That should fix the issue. If not, restart the game and try again. If that doesn’t work, unfortunately there are no other ways around this issue and you won’t be able to experience the event.
