Popular Fortnite leakers have posted the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 map from the v12.00 update files.
It seems like an eternity since we were treated to a brand new season of Fortnite Battle Royale here, but we’ll finally getting Chapter 2 Season 2 after Epic delayed the release three times.
The Fortnite v12.00 update files are now available to download, and the size of the update on PC is 9GB. We’ll update this with the the download size for other platforms including PlayStation 4.
As with every major update, Fortnite dataminers have begun leaking all the new files that they can find. One of the leaks that has been posted by popular dataminer Hypex is the new Fortnite map for Chapter 2 Season 2. Let’s take a look at the map and see what’s changed along with some screenshots of the new locations.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 Map
From a quick look at the updated map for Chapter 2 Season 2, we can see that the middle island has a new building place on top. It looks like that’s where the agency HQ is located judging by the size of the building.
Looking at the south west side of the map in the water near Slurpy Swaps, we can see a brand new location floating close to the island. You’ll also notice towards the top left side of the map, you’ll see a brand new small island has been added which also seems to have a building on it.
If you turn your attention to the top right side of the map, you’ll see what appears to be a small island as well as what appears to be a yacht. There was a boat/yacht that was featured in the Battle Pass overview video where you see a new item being used on several players and being eliminated. It’s likely that location teased in the overview view is on the top right side of the map. Here’s the new map and some images of the new locations:

Looks like we’re getting helicopters in Fortnite if the below image is anything to go by.
