Here is how to complete the two new challenges added in the v14.40 Fortnite update, which upon completion will grant you 20,000 XP.
This season, Epic have added secret quests for players to complete, usually added in every update. Completing these quests rewards you with free extra XP to help you to complete this seasons Battle Pass. The amount of XP you earn varies, depending on the quest you are completing.
In the v14.40 update that took place earlier today, there were two small secret quests added to the game, both of which are quite easy to complete if you know where to go. To complete this quest, we have made a guide on how to complete both below.
Fortnite Season 4 v14.40 Secret Quests
As previously mentioned, there are two secret quests that were added in today’s update, both can be completed in the same area. The secret quests are not shown on the challenge table, so the only way of knowing they exist is if you stumble upon them or if you turn website notifications on for our website.
Cleanse Tanks Quest
To complete this challenge, you must cleanse two tanks. These tanks are located in Slurpy Swamp. All you need to do to cleanse the tank is simply stand in the tank. You will see the water turning from green to blue and you will see the notification on the left side of the screen to show you have cleansed one tank.
Simply stand in the next tank to complete the challenge and you will receive an easy 10,000 XP.
Escape Quest
You will see an evil gnome located near the tanks, by the hole in the wall of the factory. In order to complete the second secret quest, you just need to go the gnome and they will escape. You will be granted another 10,000 XP for completing this part of the challenge.
NOTE: You will need to cleanse the tanks before going to the gnome and the escape quest only activates after.
