We have the “Fortnite patch notes” for today’s v15.10 Fortnite update which includes the Operation Snowdown Christmas event.
Since the start of Fortnite chapter 2, we haven’t see Epic Games release official Fortnite patch notes which lists every change they’ve made since the previous update. Instead, players have to settle for an email that’s sent out to players in the support-a-creator program.
The email simply highlights some of the changes or new features a few hours before the update is released. There’s no detailed information in regards to any smaller changes or weapons that have been vaulted, but it’s better than nothing.

Operation: Snowdown Fortnite Christmas Event
Operation: Snowdown is our Fortnite Christmas event for 2020. They’ve decided not to continue on with Winterfest, but it’ll be a similar event for the most part. Players can join Snowmando for brand new quests, new items, and new and fan-favorite LTMs you don’t want to miss.
It wouldn’t be a Fortnite Christmas event without a ton of free cosmetics. Players will have the chance to earn a bunch of free snowy cosmetics, including two free exclusive Fortnite Christmas skins.
Cowboy Repeater Rifle
The Cowboy Repeater Rifle combines a rapid shooting style with dead-eye accuracy. This is likely the gun we saw teased in the Fortnite chapter 2 season 5 launch trailer. We’ll provide more details including stats for the new Fortnite weapon soon.
Dragon’s Breath Sniper
We already have several exotic weapons in Fortnite which are only available by purchasing them from certain NPCs using gold bars. Blaze has been added to the map as an NPC and will have the new Dragon’s Breath Sniper rifle available to purchase.
Spy Within LTM
There’s a new LTM playlist called Spy Within. A team of spies must hunt down a team of agents as they complete objectives. This is essentially Fortnite’s version of Among Us. Let’s see if it’s worth playing.
