Here is how to get the free Dish-stroyer Pickaxe in Fortnite Battle Royale for the collaboration with Nvidia GeForce.
Throughout the year, Epic Games provide Fortnite players with free cosmetics through events and collaborations. We’ve also had community challenges requiring the entire player base to work together to complete global challenges.
During the Christmas event, players can earn two free skins along with other cosmetics including wraps, emotes, gliders, contrails, and sprays. These have been obtainable by opening the gifts in the Winterfest lodge or by completing challenges.
Epic launched the Summer event today and although there are no free skins, there are still plenty of free cosmetics available to unlock through the No Sweat or Rebuild The Block challenges.
There have been exclusive cosmetics only obtainable through promotions including the first couple of skins that were part of the Fortnite x Samsung collaboration. However, there have been other skins exclusive to different consoles over the years.
There have been many PlayStation Plus Celebration Packs that have been awarded to PlayStation players free of charge if they have a PlayStation Plus subscription.
A new collaboration with Fortnite and Nvidia GeForce has just been announced and players are able to claim a pickaxe for free. Read below to see if you are eligible to claim this cosmetic for free.
Fortnite x Nvidia GeForce – How To Get the Free Dish-stroyer Pickaxe Reward
This reward is available for players who are GeForce NOW members and in order to be eligible fo rhtis cosmetic, you will need to stream Fortnite at any time between now and Thursday, Aug. 4, 11:59 p.m Eastern. The rewards wont be made available straight away and should start to appear on your accounts starting Thursday, Aug. 11.
You will need to ensure you link you Epic Games account with your GeForce NOW account so that you can earn the pickaxe. The name of the free cosmetics is he Dish-stroyer Pickaxe.
Fortnitefans can try out GeForce NOW for free to obtain this reward, and play Fortnite across all compatible GeForce NOW devices, including on mobile with intuitive touch controls, Windows PC, macOS, iOS Safari, Android phones and tablets, Android TV, SHIELD TV, 2022 Samsung TVs and select LG TV models.
All members are eligible for this in-game reward, regardless of membership tier. For members with an RTX 3080 membership, taking out opponents with “The Dish-stroyer” will feel even more victorious — with ultra-low latency, eight-hour gaming sessions and streaming in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, or 1440p at 120 FPS on the PC and Mac apps.
With 120 FPS streaming now broadly available on 120Hz Android devices, RTX 3080 members can stream Fortnite at higher frame rates to more phones and tablets for an even more responsive experience.
