A brand new Fortnite X Star Wars glider called Squadron X-Wing has been leaked today.
Epic Games have collaborated with a number of different companies in the past couple of years. We’ve seen numerous collaborations with Marvel as well as with DC, Stranger Things, John Wick, and more.
We’ve also seen Epic collaborate with companies to promote games. Epic have done this with their own Battle Breakers game as well as with Borderlands. Most recently, they collaborated with Marvel for their new Avengers game. Players could unlock a free Hulk pickaxe if they completed certain challenges during the closed or open beta.
Fortnite X Star Wars
In December, Epic Games collaborated with Star Wars. The collaboration included a live event featuring JJ Abrams, the director of the Star Wars movies. Players also had the chance to complete the challenges with a total of five challenges to complete.
There were different stages to the challenges and upon completing different stages of the challenges, players were rewarded with Star Wars Fortnite cosmetics including a Star Wars Fortnite banner, First Order Back Bling, and the Jedi Training emote.
For those that logged in during a certain period during and after the event, they were provided with the free Tie Whisper Glider.
As with all Fortnite collaborations, players could also purchase cosmetics. Kylo Ren, Zorii Bliss, Rey, Finn, and Sith Trooper were all Fortnite Star Wars skins available to purchase during and after the Star Wars Fortnite event.
Fortnite Vanguard Squadron X-wing Star Wars Glider
In the latest Fortnite update, v14.10, there were a number of Star Wars cosmetics that were updated. From this, data-miners assumed that the Star Wars Fortnite cosmetics would be coming back to the item shop and that there were likely Star Wars cosmetics that had been added and encrypted.
With the brand new Star Wars: Squadrons game on the way, many assumed there would be some kind of promotion from Fortnite for this game. In the past hour, a new Fortnite Star Wars glider has been leaked called Vanguard Squadron X-wing.
The new Star Wars glider is of Epic rarity with the description “stay fearless to the finish”. It’s ‘internal rarity’ is of Epic rarity which means it’ll likely set you back 1,200 V-Bucks if you decide to pick this up from the Fortnite Item Shop.
How to get the Fortnite Star Wars X-Wing Glider for Free
For those that buy the Star Wars Squadrons game, players will get the Vanguard Squadron X-wing Glider for free. Star Wars: Squadrons will be available on October 2nd and players have until October 1st, 2020 to buy the game and then log in to Fortnite to receive the glider for free.
