Fortnite players haven’t been able to play the game on a mobile device without using GeForce now since Epic Games and Apple clashed in a legal battle. It all started when Epic Games introduced Epic direct payment.
This was their own payment system that they use on PC. It provided Epic Games with a method to avoid Apple’s and Google’s hefty commissions on transactions through their stores.
However, a new partnership has been announced that will make it easier for players to play Fortnite on iOS and Android. The partnership is with Xbox Cloud Gaming, and here’s everything you need to know.
How to Play Fortnite on iOS and Android in 2022
In order to play Fortnite using Xbox Cloud Gaming, you’ll need two things; a Microsoft account and an iOS, iPadOS, Android phone or tablet, or Windows PC with internet access.
There’s no installation or membership required, players simply need to visit Xbox.com/play on your web browser and sign in to your Microsoft account. You can then select to play Fortnite from the many games that are available through Xbox Cloud Gaming.
