Epic Games has announced the release date and time for the new Fortnite update, v26.20 (4.02). Here are the early patch notes and scheduled server downtime information for the 26th September 2023 update.
It’s been just over a month since Epic Games launched a new season of Fortnite Battle Royale. So far, we’ve had one major update in season four.
Two weeks ago, Epic released the 26.10 Fortnite update which included the My Hero Academia wave 2 collaboration.
The collaboration included a new mythic item along with the Deku Smash return. Although there were no free cosmetics available, players could complete My Hero Academia quests for season 4 XP.
Players have been eagerly anticipating the next major release for Fortnite Battle Royale, and it looks like the wait won’t be long.
Epic Games has announced when the next update will be, and we have all the information you need about the v26.20 update including early patch notes, server downtime information, and more.
Fortnite Server Downtime for 4.02 Update – September 26th, 2023 (09/26/23)
For every major Fortnite update, Epic Games needs to take down the servers for scheduled maintenance in order to prepare them for the new release.
The v26.20 update (4.02) is no different and Epic has announced when the servers will go down for scheduled maintenance.
The Fortnite servers will be down for maintenance on 26th September, 2023 at 3 AM ET / 8 AM BST / 9 AM CEST. Here’s the tweet announcing the update:
When Will The Servers Be Back Online?
Whilst Epic never specifies when the Fortnite servers will be back online, based on previous updates over the past few months, we’re guessing they’ll be back online at roughly 10 AM BST on 26 September 2023.
We’ll update this section of the article when they’re back online.
