As we approach Halloween and yet another Fortnitemares event, we take a look at the top 5 rarest Halloween Fortnite Item Shop skins based on the last appearance.
We’re a few weeks away from Halloween and Fortnite’s yearly Fortnitemares event. Epic have release two Fortnitemare events since Battle Royale was released with the last one announced on October 24th.
During the Fortnitemares event, Epic release challenges for the event as well as rewards, some of which are cosmetic. New skins are also released during the event that are Halloween themed. Last year, the Deadfire outfit/skin was released along with the Dark Engine glider that was available for free upon completing the challenges from the event.
In October, especially leading up to the finals days before Halloween, Epic release new Halloween themed skins. We decided to take a look back at all of the Halloween themed skins and list the five rarest skins based on their last appearance in the item shop.
Rarest Fortnite Item Shop Halloween Skins
Ghoul Trooper
It comes as no surprise that Ghoul Trooper is the rarest Halloween skin that’s available. The skin was first available to purchase on the 26th October 2017 and hasn’t been in the shop for 674 days as of writing. A number of code names for upcoming Halloween Fortnite skins were leaked which suggests we could be getting a male version of the skin. If that’s the case, we could see the Ghoul Trooper finally make a return.
Skull Trooper
The Skull Trooper Fortnite skin/outfit was first available in the Fortnite Item Shop on the 30th October, 2017. It was last available on the 1st November, 2018. It took a year for the skin to be made available for purchase again and Epic added variants of the skin that was provided for free for “OG” owners of the popular skin.
Skull Ranger
The Skull Ranger skin was released on the 10th of October 2018. The skin is part of the Skull Sqaud set and is the female version of the Skull Trooper skin. It was made available in the 2018 Halloween update along with the the return of the Skull Trooper in the Item Shop. It was last available 336 days ago, the same as Skull Trooper.
Hallowhead
Hallowhead is an Epic Fortnite skin/outfit that was first released last year on the 13th October. Similar to the two skins above, this skin was last available to purchase on November 1st, meaning the skin was last seen 336 days ago as of writing. It’s part of the Pumpkin Patch set which includes the Patch Patroller and Jack Gourdon outfits. This skin comes with the Mouldering Cloak. This is one of the many skins we could see return this month.
Braniac
The Brainiac skin is an uncommon skin that is a reskinned version of the Jonesy default model. It was first released on the 25th October last year and has appeared four times in the shop. The last time it was available to purchase was November 1st, 2018 which means it’s been 336 days since was this was last available.
There are a number of other Halloween themed skins that were also last available on November 1st including Patch Patroller, Bunnymoon, and Jack Gourdon.
