Word Hurdle is the new name for the game that was previously known as Wordle 2. In this game, players must guess the six-letter word in six or fewer guesses. The rules are similar to Wordle in that players are not given any initial clues as to what the word is and all guesses must be words in the American English language.
When you make a guess, the colours of the tiles will change, indicating whether the letters you guessed are in the answer and whether you correctly placed them in the word. This game’s colours are grey, yellow, and blue, which have most likely been changed to distinguish itself more between Wordle and Word Hurdle.
In contrast to Wordle though, there are two words released daily in Word Hurdle, one at midnight and the other at midday. Both answers are covered in the same article, so scroll slowly to avoid seeing any spoilers for the afternoon word!

Here is how I managed to solve the answer to Word Hurdle 186 in three guesses today. I guessed the word ‘AUDIOS’ first, which wasn’t the best guess for the word today as it only showed me that there is an I in the word, but it has not been placed in the correct place either.
I then guessed the word ‘CRINGE’ to see if there is an E in the word and if I could place the I in the correct place and hopefully reveal more letters in the word. I did manage to place the I in the correct position and the word also showed me that there is a G in the word.
As there are no E’s in the word and the I is in the third position, I thought it was possible that the word ends in ‘IGHT’ so I wanted to guess a word with this ending. Luckily for me, I managed to guess the answer to Word Hurdle 186 in my next guess, which is…
