The Overtime challenges are now available and one of the challenges requires players to collect the Visitor recording on the Floating Island. Here’s where and how you can collect the Visitor tape recording.
The Fortnite Season 10 Overtime challenges were leaked by dataminers in the v10.40 Fortnite update. However, they weren’t made available and Epic announced in the v10.40.1 patch notes that the “Out of Time” overtime challenges would be available today.
The challenges and rewards are now available to complete. One of the challenges requires players to collect Visitor tape recordings around the map. The first challenge requires players to collect the Visitor recording on the Floating Island and at Retail Row.

Where to collect the Visitor Tape Recording on the Floating Island Location
We already know the exact location of where to find the Visitor tape recording on the Floating Island thanks to leakers who managed to grab the in-game location of the tapes.
As you’ll already know, the Floating Island slowly moves around the Fortnite Battle Royale map, so you’ll need to double check the map to see the current location of the island. As of writing, the Floating Island can be found south of Moisty Palms in the desert biome.
The location of where you’ll be able to collect the Visitor tape on the Floating Island is at the back of the yellow car that’s located towards the north east part of the island. Here’s the location of the floating island Visitor tape recording:
You’ll simply need to go up to the tape and interact with it in order to collect it. As we’re writing this guide prior to the challenge going live, we’re not sure if you’ll hear the Visitor Tape recording as soon as you interact/collect it, or whether it’ll be availabel to listen to once you finish the game.
