The Waypoint skin in Fortnite is now showing a new unlockable style.
Epic Games release a couple of new skins on a weekly basis and players can purchase these skins in the Fortnite Item Shop with the Fortnite currency, V-Bucks. In the past, Epic have added unlockable styles for some skins after they’ve been released, such as the Merry Marauder and the Tomatohead skins.
Since the v8.00 update, players that have purchased the Waypoint skin have noticed that there is an unlockable style for the skin where the mask has been removed.
This style is locked and at the moment there does not seem to be any way to unlock this style. It is possible that Epic will release challenges for players to complete in order to unlock this style, similar to the Tomatohead challenges where players needed to complete three challenges in order to unlock the crown. Alternatively, players that have purchased the skin may simply gain access to this style in a future update.
Epic Games are yet to comment on the Waypoint skin, but we will keep you updated with the latest.
