One of the Week 2 Challenges in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 is to Open Chests locked by an ID Scanner and here is how to complete this challenge.
New challenges are released in Fortnite Battle Royale every week, but you may have noticed that the way in which to access the challenges has been changed from previous seasons.
In order to see which challenges are available to complete, you will need to go to the Challenge Table, which can be found in the Battle Pass tab. Here you will see the Brutus’ Briefing Challenges which are now available to complete. One of the challenges for week 2 is to Open Chests locked by an ID Scanner and this article will show you how and where to complete this challenge.
Fortnite Open Chests locked by an ID Scanner Challenge
You may have noticed at the start of the season that there were 5 new named POIs that were added to the map, The Shark, The Yacht, The Agency, The Grotto and The Rig. You can find many henchmen in these locations and there are chests that have been found in these locations that can only be accessed by using an ID Scanner.
These chests are actually quite easy to open as all you will need to do is to disguise yourself. In order to do that, you will simply need to go into a Phone Booth and once you emerge, you will be disguised as a henchman.
As soon as you have done this, you will be able to scan yourself at the chests and it will open for you. These chests can be found in all the new named POIs and there are also two phone booths in each location.
