The Mounted Turret was released last week in v6.30 and it came with several issues. Epic addressed some of these issues in a hotfix which saw the Turret floor health reduced from 5000 to 1000, and the Turret health reduced from 800 to 400. Epic also reduced the availability of the legendary trap item in all of the default modes. Even after all of these changes, players have still been complaining about the item, but it looks like another hotfix will be coming soon to address the complaints. Leader designer at Epic Games has tweeted the following:
Some adjustments to Mounted Turret coming in a hotfix: it will overheat a little faster and have a reduced headshot multiplier. 6.31 client update will adjust collision volume making it easier to hit players from the front.

The hotfix for the latest trap item will overheat a little faster, as well having a reduced headshot multiplier. Epic will also make another change to the Turret in the upcoming v6.31 client update, with the collision volume being adjusted in order to make it easier for hit players from the front.
Once these changes have been implemented, Epic will still be looking closely at the community reaction to the item changes, and will make more adjustments if needed. If the changes aren’t enough to keep the playerbase happy, Epic will likely have to vault the item until they can find a way to properly balance the Mounted Turret.
As well as the Mounted Turret, players have been complaining about the dynamite item that was added to the Battle Royale version of the game today in the v6.30 content update. Although the item was quickly disabled due to client crashes, the little time players spent with the item showed that the item is overpowered. Some players have compared the item to remote explosives when Epic decided to buff them. It’s likely the dynamite explosives will see the same fate as the remote explosives as they’ll likely be nerfed to reduce the damage on structures, and then possibly vaulted if they can’t successfuly achieve the right balance.
We’ll keep you updated with the latest.
