For those of you confused as to what customization options to choose when it comes to your wand, you’ll be happy to know that when you’re creating your wand, it’s purely cosmetic; there’s no benefit in choosing one option over the other.
All Wand Customizations – What is Core & Flexibility?
When customizing your wand at Ollivanders, you have three different customization options including Wand Core options and Flexibility. Here’s a brief explanation of each:
- Wand Core – This gives players the option to select what the core of their wand is made from. The options are; Dragon Heartstring, Unicorn Hair, or a Phoenix Feather.
- Wood Type (Flexibility) – This option allows players to select the type of wood their wand is made out of along with the length and flexibility of the wand. Again, this provides no gameplay differences, it’s purely cosmetic.
- Wand Style – Players can change the appearance of their wand with different colors and variations.
