The Storm Chasers: Surfin’ LTM is now live and the Bolt Action Sniper Rifle has been unvaulted for 24 hours.
New modes and weapons are being unvaulted (for 24 hours) on a daily basis for the 14 Days of Summer Fortnite Event. The event is coming to an end as we are currently on Day 13, but there will be a few more days for players to complete the challenges.
A new challenge is also released on a daily basis for the event and the challenge for Day 13 has already been unlocked and the challenge players need to complete is “Search the tiny rubber ducky at the spot hidden in the Summertime Splashdown loading screen“. For Day 12, the new mode that was added to the playlist is the Rumble LTM, which has the description, “Fight alongside your squad for the Victory Royale in an action-packed mode where the first player to get the target number of eliminations wins!” This mode is very similar to the popular Team Rumble mode, however instead of there being 2 large teams, players are in squads instead.
The Tactical SMG was the new weapon to be unvaulted for 24 hours on Day 12. The Tactical SMG and Rumble LTM have been replaced with the following.
14 DAYS OF SUMMER DAY 13 – Storm Chasers: Surfin’ LTM
The new mode to be introduced on Day 13 of the 14 Days of Summer Fortnite Event is the Storm Chasers: Surfin’ LTM. This mode is available to play in duos and the description reads, “Surf’s Up! Jump out of the Battle Bus and on to your shiny new surfboard. Use impulse grenades to bounce enemy players into the storm. Race against the storm and the other surfers to be the last one standing!”
Ride the waves and try to stay afloat, who will be the best?
Mode Details:
- Everyone deploys to a vehicle at the start of the game
- Impulses will drip into your inventory during the match
- Last man standing wins

The Bolt Action Sniper Rifle has replaced the Tactical Submachine Gun as the unvaulted item for 24 hours.
There is only one more challenge left to be released for this event and there will be a reward for completing all of the challenges. Remember that the rewards given for completing the 14 Days of Summer Challenges are exclusive to this event and cannot be earned in any other way. Make sure you complete all the challenges in time to claim your rewards.
