One of the challenges you will need to complete for Week 9 of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3 is to collect Metal at Hydro 16. Completing this challenge will award you with 35,000 XP, which will help you to complete this seasons Battle Pass. The season is coming to an end to be sure to reach at least level 100 to get all of the free cosmetics rewards from the pass before the season ends.
Fortnite Hydro 16 Map Location
This challenge is quite easy to complete, as long as you know where Hydro 16 is located. This POI (Point of Interest) is not marked on the map, but it is a landmark that can easily be found on the map. The exact location of this landmark is southeast of Weeping Woods and east of Slurpy Slump as can be seen in the map below:
When you land, you will see that there are many transformers and generators that you can hit in order to harvest enough metal to complete the challenge. In order to complete the challenge, you only need to collect 200 metal.
There may be a lot of players landing at this location to complete the challenge, so you could choose to land on the bridge and destroy the trailer on the truck to get the metal, as well as the lamp posts and benches at the top to complete the challenge.
This challenge is quite easy to complete and so you should get the 35,000 XP quite easily. You can also complete this challenge in the Team Rumble mode, where there is less chance of being killed by opponents.
