Here’s how and where you can discover 10 different landmarks for the New World mission for Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 1 (season 11).
Epic Games finally released a new chapter and season earlier this morning more than 40 hours after the Fortnite Season 10 live event finale. As with all Fortnite seasons, we have a brand new set of mission challenges to complete.
The week 1 mission is called “New World” which provides XP incentives for players to use the new features, mechanics and discover the new named locations on the brand new map for this new Fortnite chapter.
One of the challenges for the New World mission requires players to discover landmarks. As this is a new chapter, season and a new map, this can be quite challenging as the landmark locations are currently unknown. However, we’ve created a locations guide to help you complete the challenge as quickly as possible.
All Fortnite Landmark Locations: How and Where to discover different landmarks
Landmarks are different to Named Locations as they aren’t marked on the map. In order to discover different landmarks, you’ll need to run around the entire map to discover different landmarks, however, we’ve found the landmarks to make completing the challenge easier. In order to discover a landmark, you must drop or walk near it. Upon discovering one, you’ll see the name of the landmark.
One of the landmarks on the new Fortnite map is Lockie’s Lighthouse. This landmark can be found on the north west side of the map. If you’re landing there for the first time, it’ll be greyed out. When you land there, you’ll see the landmark location appear and you’ll have discovered a landmark. You can view all the landmarks on the map we included at the bottom of the post.
Here’s what Lockie’s Lighthouse landmark looks like and it’s location on the map:
Lazy Lake Island
You’ll find Lazy Lake Island towards the south side of the new map. The island is north of Misty Meadows. There’s a single house on the island and is surrounded by water. Here’s a look at the landmark and the location of it on the map:
As given away by the name of the landmark, E.G.O. Barracks are barracks located near the middle of the map. It’s surrounded by metal walls with barbed wire on the top. Inside you’ll find a bunch of small metal military buildings.
You’ll find this landmark towards the north side of the map. The landmark includes a farmers market, a large red barn and a farming patch with a bunch of trees surrounding it. You’ll find it north east of Frenzy Farm. Here’s an image and location on the map below:
Here’s a map with at least 10 landmark locations. We’ll update this article with details of other locations and update the map.
