Here are the Fortnite patch notes for the v14.50 update.
Epic Games announced the v14.50 Fortnite update today along with the time the servers will go down for maintenance. As of writing, the servers are down and the highlights email for this update were released.
As you’ll know by now, Epic no longer post the full patch notes for an update like they did for chapter 1. Instead, an email is released to everyone in the support-a-creator program that highlights the main features and changes coming in the update. The email is sent out a few hours before the update goes live, and here’s what is included in this update.
v14.50 Fortnite Update Patch Notes
Iron Man Jet Pack
In the v14.40 update, sound files for an Iron Man jet pack was leaked by data-miners. In today’s update, that jet pack will be added to the game. In the email, Epic mention players can blast off with a new and improved jetpack that’s found throughout the island.
Lachlan Icon Series
Epic already announced that Lachlan will be the next creator in the icon series. Players can enter the pickaxe frenzy tournament on November 7-8 and have a chance to get the Lachlan icon series set early.
PS5 and Xbox Series Ready
The new PlayStation and Xbox consoles arrive next week and Epic have readied Fortnite for next gen in this update including faster loading times, enhanced visuals and physics, and 4K resolution at 60 FPS.
New Challenges (XP Xtravaganza)
There’s a brand new set of Fortnite challenges going live this week. Players can complete these challenges together and earn a bunch of XP before the season ends at the end of the month.
There’s also the Ghost Rider Fortnite cup that’ll go live tomorrow, Wednesday 4th November. Players have the chance to win the Ghost Rider Fortnite skin for free before it’s available to purchase in the item shop. For more details, check out our post.
