There have been many members of the community that have mentioned that there is a trap bug where the trap doesn’t set off when it should and where players on the opposite side of the wall get killed when they shouldn’t. We had previously mentioned this bug in another post, but Epic have responded to a different post, acknowledging the bug, what the issue was and when it will be fixed.
Eric Williamson, Lead Design at Epic, stated that there is an issue with the damage volume of the trap and that the fix has been made for the v5.3 update.
The damage hitbox in front of the trap has been moved back slightly, which means that players behind the trap are getting the damage and players in front of the trap are managing to escape, but it is still triggered by the player in front of the trap.
This fix should be made in the next update, v5.3, but we do not have a confirmed date of the update. In the v5.3 update, there should be more skins/cosmetics and emotes that will be leaked and the Road Trip skin should also be known next week. We will keep you updated with the latest!
