Epic Games have announced a free cosmetic players will receive due to the regular Fortnite server issues.
When Fortnite first launched, there were numerous server issues due to the sheer amount of players logging in. At one point, the Fortnite servers were down for more than fifteen hours straight, the longest the servers have been down for outside of planned maintenance.
To compensate lost time, Epic Games provide players with a free back bling. Chapter 2 didn’t have any major server issues, but with the launch of chapter 3, there have been multiple times when the servers have been down.
During Winterfest, the servers would have issues due to the amount of players looking to log in and open their daily present. On chapter 3 launch day, the sheer amount of players logging in on Sunday to experience the new mechanics and map also caused major server outage.
More recently, the servers have been going down often, sometimes for longer than an hour. on January 5th, Epic Games announced that due to recent downtime, players would receive the Madcap Crescent Shroom Pickaxe to compensate for downtime along with a power leveling weekend.

Heart’s Desire Free Fortnite Wrap
Epic tweeted on the official Fortnite Status account that they understand Fotnite’s had a few outages in the past week. To compensate, players will be granted the Heart’s Desire Wrap for free.
In order to get the wrap, players will have needed to log in to Fortnite between January 27th and February 3rd, 2022. If you haven’t received the wrap, it’s due to the fact you didn’t log in to Fortnite during this period.
