Epic are always adding new Limited Time Modes that switch up the normal Battle Royale mode for players to enjoy. It seems as though there has been another LTM found by dataminers.
Reddit user nehpets1999 has found some files relating to a new LTM called ‘Tactics Showdown’. The description of this mode reads:
‘This mode encourages tactical combat and building by putting a sap on the amount of resources and ammunition players can carry. Player-built structures also start off with less health than normal, and when players are eliminated they will drop fewer resources than normal.’
There was another LTM that was also found in the files which is similar to the game mode mentioned above. This mode is called Ground Game. The description of this LTM is as follows:
‘In Ground Game, the focus is on fighting smart – Spray & Pray and Build Spamming isn’t an option here. Fewer building materials can be carried and max ammo count is limited, so use the natural cover that the map provides and make every shot count!’
It seems as though Epic are making players think more tactically and play smarter by having less ammo and building materials are also scarce. We have seen changes to Fortnite recently, where the building materials that can be farmed and found in floor drops is significantly less than before.
Fortnite is know for its building mechanic and is the feature that sets it apart from other Battle Royale games so it will be interesting to see how well these game modes will be received by the community.
NOTE: Epic Games have not made an official announcement on these Limited Time Modes, but they were found in the Fortnite files. There could be changes to these game modes and they might not be released. We will keep you updated with any new information.
