Could Teams of 10 or 25 be Coming to Fortnite?

Fortnite Battle Royale

Epic games introduced a 50v50 game mode in December, which went down as a success. However some people complained that it was nothing like the trailer, and that it was pretty boring at times. The Fortnite community have been asking for this game mode to come back but perhaps with a small overall squad size. Something that is bigger than the 4 man teams, but smaller than 50v50 would be an interesting game mode. Many have suggested either having 10 teams of 10, or 4 teams of 25 and it seems that this could be coming to Fortnite in the near future.

In a recent dev update, systems designs Eric Williamson said “We’re also looking at trying to do an LTM somewhere inbetween squads and 50 vs 50”. Whilst Eric did say they’ll keep us updated on the possible LTM and not committing to a rough date, it’s safe to assume that it could be coming to Fortnite pretty soon. This would be a welcomed addition,, especially with the popular Sniper Shootout coming to an end this coming Monday.

However, we’re pretty sure that Epic will be focusing their attention on fixing the issues that have plagued the game for the last couple of weeks, including lag, performance issues with console, and screen resolution issues. Also, Epic has announced that the new shooting model will be available for players to test, starting on the 5th February, in a limited game mode. If you’d like to read more about the new shooting model and what the changes are, read our other article that covers this here.

If you’d like to check out all of the recent updates and upcoming features coming to Fortnite, as well as the explanation as to why revolvers were included in the Sniper Shootout limited game mode, feel free to check out the entire dev update below.

Be sure to let us know in the comments section below what you think of the possibility of having a 10 or 25 man squad. Is this something you’d want or would you much rather just have 50v50 coming back?
