Here’s the Fortnite Patch Notes for today’s 12.60 Fortnite update. The update includes a new Spy Games playlist and an update to Party Royale.
Prior to the v12.50 Fortnite update going live, Epic Games emailed players with what they can expect from the update. Yesterday, Epic Games sent another email out to players listing what new changes will be in the v12.60 Fortnite update.
It seems as though Epic Games will never release the full, official Fortnite patch notes after every major update like we did in chapter 1. Instead, we’ll likely continue to receive an email outlining some of the changes or new features we’ll see in the update a day prior to it being pushed live.
With that said, here’s what Epic Games listed as what’s changed/highlights in today’s v12.60 Fortnite update.
12.60 Fortnite Update Patch Notes
Mobile
Mobile players on iOS have a brand new opt-in feature that’ll help players reach their targeted frame rate. The new feature is dynamic resolution and it’ll adjust the game’s resolution automatically in order to maintain a specific frame rate. The new feature can be accesses in the video settings menu on iOS.
There’s also a HUD Layouts option that’s been added that includes custom layouts as well as presets including Builder Pro, Combat Pro, and Old School.
Mobile players can now also adjust button size and touch zone size with new slider options:
Players can also turn off footsteps and other mobile indicators in the visualize sound effects setting found in the audio settings tab.
Party Royale Update
Epic have given Party Royale a small update today. Party Royale now has the Grappler and Jetpack added to make it quicker to move around in Party Royale. There’s also some additional refinements to existing attractions found within the new game mode.
Operation: Infiltration
There’s a brand new Spy Games Fortnite playlist being released today at 9 AM ET. Operation: Infiltration requires players to extract the Intel Case from a defending team’s terf or prevent your own case reaching the opposite team’s destination.
PC Controller Adjustments
Next week, Epic will tweak and tune controller settings on PC. Epic have the adjustments ready, but don’t want to release the changes before the FNCS Invitational Finals.
